2025 has been an exciting year. We continue to run real tactical training and have added two classes to the line-up: Trench Assault and Convoy Tactics, which are weekend classes (2 days). See below.
I have also published the third in my trilogy of novels: ‘The Storm Rages: Dragon Rising.’ See below. I’m exciting about this modern warfare novel that takes place after the notional collapse and civil war in America, against the Chinese invasion forces.
On a personal note, I have added to my equine adventures in mounted shooting by taking my two eldest boys and joining a confederate cavalry reenactment crew! We have joined the McNeill’s Rangers and our next reenactment is Gettysburg! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you can see updates on this.

HEAT 1 is a 4 day live fire class.
HEAT Trench Assault (weekend class) July – 07/19/2025 – 07/20/2025
Trench Assault is an AirSim class run over a weekend.
HEAT Convoy Immediate Action (weekend class) August – 08/09/2025 – 08/10/2025
This is a weekend live fire class.
HEAT Squad Tactics September – 09/18/2025 – 09/21/2025
This is a 4 day AirSim class.
HEAT 2 Combat Patrol October – 10/23/2025 – 10/26/2025
This is a 4 day live fire class. HEAT 1 is a prerequisite.
HEAT 3 Night Operations November – 11/07/2025 – 11/09/2025
This is a weekend live fire class. HEAT 1 & 2 are prerequisites.

Texas Classes 2026
The HEAT 1 Combat Tactics will be the same class offered in West Virginia. LINK. There is a also a LINK to a gear admin page. This class is also the prerequisite for attendance on the Texas Alumni Live Fire Classes. Class limit: 12
Alumni Class: There will be 2 nights of optional night training included in the Alumni package, at an additional cost. These nights will not go beyond 2300hrs in order to be rested for the next day. You will need all the equipment as per the Night Operations class to attend this training.
The Texas Class is a hybrid advanced class that does not conform specifically to the MVT standard training curriculum. This general class theme and curriculum has been a huge success for the alumni taking part. This will be the twelfth year for these Texas classes. This class should be viewed as a capstone annual training event where students travel from as far away as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Kentucky, Idaho etc.
You need to be an MVT Live Fire Alumni to attend the Texas Alumni Live Fire class. Keep an eye out for HEAT 1 classes which will qualify you for the Texas class.
