9 Stations. 1 Relentless Pace

This one’s built for anyone chasing serious HYROX-style conditioning. HX8 Complete #2 isn’t just a workout — it’s a full-body test that trains your grip, lungs, legs, and willpower in one brutal loop.

Here’s the lineup:

HX8 Complete #2

  1. Tank Pull
  2. Tank Push
  3. Ski Erg
  4. Blast Off Push-Ups
  5. Burpee Box Jumps
  6. Kettlebell Step-Ups
  7. KB Deadlift to High Pull
  8. KB Goblet Reverse Lunge
  9. Wall Balls

From sled drags to explosive bodyweight drills, every station demands a different kind of focus. You’ll shift from horizontal strength to vertical power. Upper body to lower. Explosive work to controlled, grindy reps. And you won’t have much time to think between transitions — just enough to catch your breath and get back to work.

This is HYROX prep at its most functional. It mimics race day intensity with minimal rest and varied movement patterns. Whether you’re pushing the tank or throwing that wall ball, you’re building hybrid strength that translates to performance.

Coaching Tips:

  • Tank Pull + Push: Dig in and stay low. Drive through your legs, not your lower back. Consistency beats speed.
  • Ski Erg: Use full-body rhythm — arms, core, and hips working together. Don’t muscle it.
  • Blast Off Push-Ups: Explosive power starts with a strong core. Control the descent, fire on the launch.
  • Burpee Box Jumps: Keep the pace steady and the landings soft. Don’t blow your legs early.
  • KB Step Ups + Goblet Lunges: Focus on control. Braced core, steady balance. Use the legs, not momentum.
  • KB Deadlift to High Pull: Hinge with intent, then drive and pull. Keep the elbows high and outside.
  • Wall Balls: Find your rhythm. Breathe with every throw. Stay consistent and don’t chase speed too early.

Each station has its own story — but the real test is how you transition. Keep moving, keep grinding, and don’t let the clock win.

This WOD doesn’t care how fresh you felt at minute one. It’s about who keeps pushing when their legs are toast and the tank still needs one more push. This is hybrid training at its most raw — real movement, real resistance, real payoff.

Step into the challenge. Test yourself. And if you haven’t yet trained with the crew at Academy of Self Defense, now’s the time. Start your free two-week trial or check out everything the Fitness Unlimited program has to offer.
