We ran the Convoy Tactics Class (Immediate Action) this last weekend in Romney. Although this has been a highly successful mobile class run in places like Texas, Colorado and Idaho, we had so far been unable to run it in Romney due to the terrain. However, after some work with an excavator, we made the trails big enough to do so.
The linked podcast is useful for some background information related to the Convoy Tactics Class. It should be read along with the relevant chapters in either Contact or the Tactical Manual. It’s important to note that at the two day class, we are mostly running through the practical application of SOPs, conducting live fire drills.
