I made the migration to N. Chicago and conducted a Shoot House Instructor class for a week at a government training facility.
The class had 31 students; 2 assistant instructors and we ran two shoot houses that were next to each other concurrently. One was Sims and the other was live fire with frange ammo.
Officers from all over the region attended and were as professional as I remember them. The facility crew was exceptional in their support.
The course was based on Hostage Rescue and mostly dynamic tactics.
It was interesting to see weapon handling and tactics. A change in the course that I added a few years ago was single person CQB. Many had a hard time changing speeds from dynamic to a slow pie. I attribute this to John Wick style CQB.
90% of the class shot RDS on their pistols and I did not see much of a speed difference in the rooms, but groups seemed to tighten a bit. They were also better on the flat range.
Weapon handling calibration took a couple of days, and I had to clean up what was acceptable in my experience vs. what they were allowed at their host agency.
It was a great course, and I am glad that the Feds allow smaller agencies to use their facilities, as it fosters a spirit of cooperation at ground level.

I took the above design and modified it to fit my needs.
Buying custom knives can be tricky and expensive. First, photos are deceiving, and you cannot tell if the handle will fit your hand until after you buy it.
This handle fits my hand, and it is grippy. The blade was a bit long for my tastes and I wanted a top edge for a back drag. With a paint pen, I marked it and had it cut down along with the sheath. I liked it so much I had several cuts to the same speck with a few different grinds.
To me, it was like finding a Gen 3 Glock 26 and doing a few simple mods to it to make it fit me.
If you can find a reasonable off-the-shelf knife that fits your hand, you can have it modified along with the sheath.

While the barracks have saved many students money in the past, I must, unfortunately, raise the rent. To stay there for a two- or three-day class, it is $100 extra to the class tuition. Power, water, AC/Heat have all gone up, as well as maintenance and maintenance contracts. Send any complaints to Joe Biden, PODUS. Also, if you are a current LEO paying out of pocket, the barracks increase does not apply to you.
